Post Race Report - Muddy Creek Raceway in Blountville, Tennessee

This past weekend's national motocross race was held at Muddy Creek Raceway in Blountville, Tennessee.

During Saturday's race, Ronnie Stewart, #69, was well on his way to one of his best qualifying positions when he lost control of the back end of is bike, which violently threw him to the ground. After a series of tumbles during the crash, rescuers quickly responded and the practice was red flagged. At the time, due to the pain and severity of the crash, the decision was made to transfer him to the local trauma center.

At the hospital, all sore areas - including Ronnie's knee, groin, hip and thigh - were evaluated with tests and x-rays. With all fingers crossed, the x-rays came back showing no broken bones, which was quite a relief for Ronnie and his crew, who feared the worst. Nearly a few hours later, Ronnie, bumped and bruised, was released from the hospital and grateful for the protective gear he armored his body with, which very well may have prevented a serious injury.

"I'm so grateful that I was wearing the best equipment on the market. The Asterisk knee braces and 6D Helmet took a lot of the impact and did their job in protecting my body," Ronnie said.

Ronnie and his crew will be heading to Mount Morris, PA, for the upcoming race. Joined by local  family and friends, Ronnie hopes to continue the chase for national points.
