How can I earn some extra cash?

Everyone could use come extra cash. It doesn't matter if you live paycheck-to-paycheck or are well off. So, if you need money to cover an added essential expense, or simply to bulk up your savings account, consider the following tips:

Sell your old electronics - If you're someone who likes to buy the latest and greatest technology when released, there is no sense in letting your old electronics go to waste. According to Kiplinger, selling unwanted electronics is a great way to come up with some extra cash. There are many places to list these items for sale, including websites like Gazelle.com, eBay.com and Craigslist. Don't let your old iPhone or tablet collect dust in a draw somewhere. List it for sale and put your money to use.

Get a part-time job - More work than your full-time 9-5 position may not be ideal, but it's a good way to secure some extra money each month, according to Daily Finance. There are many positions that have openings for nights and weekends, such as a retail clerk or bartender. If you need money quick, bartending or waitressing is likely a good job, as you'll receive money in tips at your first day on the job.

Adjust your tax withholding - Getting a tax refund in spring can provide a nice financial buffer, but there is a way you can get that money spread out during the year in your paycheck. A refund means you overpaid, so why not adjust your withholding so that the money isn't taken out of your paycheck each month. If you can find the withholding that allows you to pay only what you owe, you'll find yourself with more cash each month.

Rent a room in your home - This may not be an option for everyone, but if you have an extra room in your house - and don't mind having someone living with you - renting a room could be a good venture. If you don't want someone to live in your house long term, you could use a room for people who don't want to pay high rates at hotels in the area. Your rent or mortgage won't increase, which means the money earned will be pure profit.
